Proof of Concept |

How often have you had an idea about what you want but have never been able to communicate it effectively? You have the ideas in your head but lack the tools or processes to put them down on paper, or get them onto your computer. This is often true for how you see your website, how it will look, how it will behave.
’Proof of concept’ is a tool that we use to put all those initial ideas into a workable format, so they can be discussed and built upon. A proof of concept is a ‘mock up’ of how your site might look – the only difference is that the mock-up is produced in Photoshop as an image rather than a website page. The image is made to look exactly like a webpage but as a 'flat image' without the functionality of a webpage.
We produce you a ‘POC set’, which consists of a home page mock up and a sample content page mock up. This results in a slicker, more cost-effective development process.
Proof of concept example 1 – ACME! We produced a POC set (home page and content page) for a company that sells software (we have re-branded it ACME! for the purposes of this example). From our initial meeting we worked with a brief to produce a clean corporate site giving easy access to the required sections of the website without requiring too many clicks. The purpose of the site is to sell contact management and accounting software. Using the POC set as a tool, we were able to satisfy the clients’ requirements, finishing with a really effective design.

Proof of concept example 2 – Cyan TrainingWe produced a POC set (home and content page) for a local company providing management training to corporate businesses (we have re-branded it Cyan Training for the purposes of this example). Our brief was to produce an inspirational, fresh and pleasing site with custom graphics. The design incorporates many graphic elements including a ‘podium’ effect at the bottom of each page, symbolising the journey from concept to completion (in the example it is noted as Inspiration to Reward). This design surpassed the clients' expectations – they were blown away! | | | | Cyan Training Home Page POC | Cyan Training Content Page POC | | |
